Samantha Salazar (Sam) BS, MSW, SWC is a recent graduate of the Master’s in Social Work program at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in Human Services with a concentration in high-risk youth. Sam has found her passion in supporting children, adolescents, and their families in her previous work in public school settings.
Her clinical practice is rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered approaches. She is passionate about meeting clients where they are, creating affirming spaces that foster growth, healing, and empowerment. She is currently pursuing training in EMDR and play therapy to further support clients in their healing journeys.
Sam values authenticity, collective healing, and embraces the cultural roots that shape all parts of our identities. She is a bilingual, first-generation Latina who is a proud daughter of a Mexican immigrant. She loves playing tennis and spending time with her pets.
